Hello all,

      Been a while, we know… We’ve been dormant on the blog for way too long, but that’s about to change. Let me catch you up.  ( Be aware, this is a long, photo and map laden post.  We aim to have more, smaller updates moving forward! )

September 23 -> 25, 2016

We were selected to be part of The Grand Tour‘s $3.2m grand opening sequence! It was a crazy day of filming in the California desert, rub’n elbows with the cast, crew and 2000 fans! Our first time on a shoot like this, they made everyone leave their cell phones in their car at the rendezvous location, then bussed us out to the desert.

We got to hang out with some long time friends from the Heartland Owners Rally on the High Roller.  Great time, great views!  Definitely recommend checking out the High Roller at night as the Vegas views are great!
Oct 15 -> 22, 2016

We broke with the RV world for a trip to Siesta Key, Florida and stayed at the historic Siesta Sun Apartments.  The list of things to do in this area are far too many to enumerate adequately, but here are a few things we did:

Attended the LVM Resort Halloween Party! Michael was Cousin Eddie from National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Lehnanne went as a Minion.  Michael WON 1st Place in the costume contest!

Shot some drone footage with Chris Nelson up at Angel Peak.  I mostly manned the ground based camera while Chris flew his Inspire 1.  Not my drone, so I didn’t want to risk me being the one to crash it.
Nov 6 -> 13, 2016

We took a week trip to St George, Utah to visit with Ryann and catch up with David & Brenda. Aside from the company we had, and the St George Dinosaur Discovery Park, the St George area, was a bit disappointing overall. We realize there was much more around the area to be seen and done, but the town itself was a bit disappointing for us.

We had been on the look out for another family member. We weren’t certain if our new furkid would be feline or canine, so we were watching for both.  While in St George, we came across a listing for an Italian Greyhound. After applying to adopt her and meeting her in person, we were chosen and are happy to announce the adoption of our new furkid, Fiona! Welcome to the Kidd family and team VegasEnvy!

After a few days fighting with the Tiffin supplied 3″ dump plumbing, I was able to successfully install Electric Dump Valves! The Tiffin plumbing was a full 1/2″ too short which provided too much separation force for the new Electric Valves to seal. I ended up tearing it all out and putting in all new 3″ plumbing. Once that was done, the new valves fit perfect and sealed without any future issues. Now, we can dump our Grey and Black tanks from switches on the wall either inside or outside the coach. See this blog post from David Bott on the topic for specific details on the product!

We attended the Chevelle Concert.  If you are a fan at all, by all means, GO SEE THEM LIVE!  It was a hell of a show!

Jan 28, 2017

We went to see Evil Dead the Musical for about the 12th time, but this one was a bit more special.  It was Chris’ last stand, er, uh.. last performance in the show.  Chris has moved on to pursue his comedy career.  Go check out Chris’ online presences ( YouTube, Twitter, FaceBook ).  Also, if you’re an Evil Dead fan, do catch a production (or two) of Evil Dead the Musical.

Feb 27 -> Mar 3, 2017

We had an amazing visit from my mom, aunt, and uncle!  We took in all sorts of local fun including:

Almost finished with the install…

We finally got around to having some custom work done inside our 2016 Tiffin Allegro Bus.  We both spend a good deal of time on the computer, for both work and fun.  So, we thought it high time to get a dual desk built and installed.  The builder ( Ron Gatchell ) did a good job matching our existing wood and was able to obtain the Corian countertop to match.  We’re very happy to have our new workspace!
