While you should honor the people in your heart EVERY DAY, Memorial Day is not a holiday for that. It isn’t about every person you’ve ever lost to death – it *IS* about every active duty military personnel ‘…who gave their lives in service to our country during a time of war…’
That’s it. These individuals, regardless of your political standings on war and military service, deserve at least one day where you take a moment and think about their sacrifices.
And not to be forgotten — take a moment to honor and remember the animals used by the military and had their lives taken from them.
