THE QUIETEST RIDING, BEST HANDLING COACH ON THE MARKET TODAY. PERIOD.

This is the slogan that Entegra has on their website. It’s echoed many times in YouTube reviews and walkthroughs. And they really do have a very quiet, very well insulated RV. What most don’t tell you is how much weight that “PERIOD” carries.

Our experience with this coach started with a horrible buying process:

  • The coach didn’t match the details we were given
  • It wasn’t ready for pick up when we were told it would be
This required multiple trips from Las Vegas to Eugene Oregon to try to pick up the Entegra
  • We rejected the coach and were trying to find another
  • The dealer refused to refund our significant funds already transferred
  • And they threatened lawsuit if we didn’t follow through with the purchase

Needless to say, we will never buy from RV Country again.

In our one year of ownership of our 2023 Entegra Anthem 44B, we came to the conclusion that the quiet ride and good handling are the ONLY things the Entegra does well.

To say we had our share of problems would be an under-statement. I realize that RV’s are made up of several parts from several manufacturers, and a failure of a component isn’t necessarily the fault of the RV maker. But, when things add up over time, one has to wonder… I’ll list a few of the problems here, some with more detail than others depending on the seriousness of the issue.

  • Missing deadbolt and Safe keys – This was the fault of the dealer. It turns out, our new coach had been a ‘Show’ coach. So many people had been through the coach, and at some point, the keys were lost. We had to have a locksmith create new keys for both of these.
  • Missing RADAR controller for the proximity system – This too was the fault of the dealer. They had scavenged the controller from our coach to fix another RV, and never put a replacement in.
  • The large vertical screen where the backup cam, radio, navigation, mirror adjustments, steering wheel adjustments, leveling system, etc… were displayed / controlled.. was not visible when wearing polarized sunglasses. I ended up buying a pair of non-polarized sunglasses that I only wore when driving the Entegra. The biggest down side to this was increased glare and worse visibility of the road (and obstacles) ahead.
  • The 360 camera system would frequently lose a camera, black out, reset itself, or have random jitter in one or more of the 6 camera feeds — I’d have to pull off the road, go around to the basement compartment where the camera controller was located and unplug / re-plug it, then get back on the road.
  • Water leaks around the windshield, entry door, and the main window behind the couch.
  • Washing machine touch buttons took 15+ presses to get to respond on most days – Entegra’s proposed solution for this was to have a Whirlpool tech handle the repair, then bill Entegra — leaving it to me to get the washing machine out of the cabinet ( and back in ).
  • The dryer had only Air dry, or HIGH heat. No low heat option? Come on, Whirlpool!
  • Water pump failed – I replaced it with a higher quality pump and Entegra reimbursed me for the cost.
  • The heated floor liquid loop flooded the basement and all of our stuff stored there-in.
    • Somehow, the fluid loop was cut during the coach build, after the sub-floor was put down, but before the tile was hand laid.
    • This had been identified, and a piece of coupling added to bridge the cut.
    • However, the coupling was not properly installed ( they completely missed one end of the fluid loop tubing with the clamp ).
    • I had to empty our basement storage, clean and dry everything to get out the glycol boiler fluid as best I could, then spend a week trying to get a repair center to call me back, then drive 3 hours to the closest one to get things taken care of.
    • Entegra did cover the repair — no help covering my time to clean all our stuff, drive to the service center, etc.
  • Roof Vent fan controller failed – Entegra shipped a whole new vent fan assembly after clearing the failure with MaxxFan – I swapped the controllers out myself.
  • The Heating / Cooling system schedule would go completely off the rails about once every 2 weeks, causing it to heat the coach way up or cool the coach way down – usually in the middle of the night.
  • The U-bracket that holds the swinging Fireplace closed broke off while driving ( there’s hidden storage behind the fireplace ), causing the fireplace to swing wildly until I could pull over and use gaffers tape to secure it.
    • After sending pictures of the broken part to Entegra, they claimed it was part of the fireplace provided by Furrion.
    • I tried to convince them this was not the case, that it was clearly a welded part provided by Entegra during the coach build, but was not successful.
    • After a few weeks, a courier showed up with a new fireplace – surprise! it did not include any of the swing out mechanism nor the latch mechanism.
    • Another week or so and Entegra was able to find the part and ship it to me.
    • Strangely, they did not want the $280 Fireplace back — but insisted that I ship back the broken U-bracket part ( maybe $2 of material ).
  • Comparing the Entegra Anthem interior cabinets to those from the Tiffin Allegro Bus, the cabinets were more or less in exactly the same place, yet all of them were either a shorter, a more shallow, or both — OR, they only hid a controller or fuse panel behind the cabinet door. All this resulted in significantly less storage space compared to our previous Allegro Bus.
  • During high winds, the slide rooms would tip in at the top while fully set up! Dust, wind, bugs, debris, etc.. would get blown in around the slide room seals. We spend a lot of time in the desert south west, and high winds are pretty common. Thus, this became a significant frustration.

We really wanted to put that behind us and try to enjoy the new coach. From the list above, you can see that goal practically impossible.

In October of 2025, we traded the 2023 Entegra Athem 44B in on a 2018 Tiffin Allegro Bus 45OPP and it instantly felt like ‘Home’. While we’ve had some issues with the 2018 Bus, they’re expected due to being 7 years old — and nothing was as severe or significant as some of the Entegra issues.

Why post this now / Why did we wait so long to post it?

First, I think it’s important to show that not every day owning an RV is amazing. There’s a lot of videos and blog posts that gloss over problems to show only the positive, bright and sunny side of RV’ing.. And while there are certainly good / great days… it’s not always that way.

Second, I didn’t post it earlier for fear of retaliation. The most likely retaliatory means would have been refusal to provide services or help should something else happen.

We spent 14 years full timing in a Newmar Dutch Star and it certainly isn’t all fun but we wouldn’t trade the experience for anything! We met you at Rusty’s one year and got a tour of your telescope shed. The people you meet on the road was one of favorite parts of the lifestyle! In 14 years, we had numerous problems,, a lot of which I fixed myself which sometimes caused words to come out of my mouth which I don’t often use! The good news is, in 14 years we only had to spend one night in a motel out of our coach because of it being in a shop. I think that is a pretty amazing statistic!

    Hi Barry,
Our statistics are pretty similar as far as nights spent outside the coach. And I agree completely, the people we meet along the way is the best part of the lifestyle! Hope you’re doing well, wherever life takes you. 🙂

Hello Michael,
It’s been a very long time and I am so happy to hear from you even if the news isn’t great. The first thing I would like to say to you guys is::: “Welcome Home back to Tiffin”. Our Tiffin Allegro coach is 6 years old officially, and it has been great to us, of course it’s had it’s share of regular minor problems but nothing serious.
A really good friend of ours from the UK, came to the US back in 2018 and purchased a Anthem to live in while he stayed in the States. He started a YouTube channel called “Great Escape” @GreatEscape24″ and of course Mary and I followed along with him and his wife journeys in the coach since we were desires to upgrade to a Diesel Pusher from our 2012 class “C”. The things he showed on his channel about the coach left us in total shock, we couldn’t believe the problems he had considering that the coach was absolutely Stunning. Long story short, that’s how we ended up purchasing our Tiffin.
Hopefully this coach will treat you and your beautiful wife well, and maybe you’ll put together a nice video of your new to you coach. We really miss your Live Drive video’s. You and David controlled the YouTube market with those Live Drives. I attempted one live drive on our channel but had to hard of a time keeping signal. I ended up turning the live drive into a video on our channel.
Thank you so much for the Update and hope to hear more from you soon!!

    Hey Herbie,
Great to hear from you, too! Ya, we’ve had the Tiffin 6 months now and really appreciate being back ‘in the family’ 🙂 Thanks for the heads up on Great Escape! We’ll definitely be checking out their channel.

Re: Live Drives – they’re definitely a lot of work… We -might- do a live drive on Saturday… we’ll be starting a 4 or 5 day drive from NM to KY and it would be good to catch up with our live stream crew. 🙂

Safe Travels, and hope to see you down the road! o/
